Master's Capstone Project
Interested in the communication strategies of presidents Barack Obama and Franklin Delano Roosevelt in times of severe economic crisis, my graduate research project analyzes numerous speeches to identify frames. The paper uses a predetermined coding schema and an organic coding schema to categorize specific communication frames of the presidential addresses.
Undergraduate Honors Thesis
My honors thesis explored the topics of public and collective memory within the realm of rhetoric and communication in relationship to the Holocaust, and, more specifically, in relationship to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C. The research particularly focused on the rhetoric of space and place and helps to further the claims made about the implications of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
